For the renovation of the Taschenberg Kempinski Palace, NOËL & MARQUET decorative profiles delicately highlight the building's Baroque character while giving it a decidedly contemporary look. The result: walls and ceilings that tell the story of the building without sacrificing modern comfort and elegance. 

In February 2024, the hotel's complete restoration was unveiled—a project designed to modernize the guest experience while respecting the palace's historical identity. The design team, led by Markus Hilzinger, worked to refresh the overall ambiance by combining current technologies, high-quality tactile materials, and traditional craftsmanship to create more contemporary yet elegant spaces. 

Among the carefully considered details, the Z40 ceiling molding was chosen for its generous profile and classic character: it harmoniously complements the high ceilings and evokes the original opulence of the space. The combination of picture rails ( WL7 , Z10 , Z1360 ), patterned wallpapers, and refined textiles creates a hushed and regal atmosphere, conducive to an immersive hotel experience. 

The Taschenberg Palace has a very rich history

Built in the 18th century on the orders of Augustus the Strong for Anna Constantia von Brockdorff, it was severely damaged during the Second World War and then carefully rebuilt before reopening in 1995 as Saxony's first five-star hotel. Located in the heart of the historic center, a stone's throw from the Royal Palace, the Zwinger, and the Semper Opera House, the establishment is now considered an architectural gem of Dresden.
